‘No dossiers, only dose to terrorists’: PM Modi’s poll blitz in Gujarat, Maharashtra

Addressing an election rally in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi contended that his government took a different approach on national security and stormed the terrorists’ den to hit them hard instead of sharing dossiers with the neighbouring country, a practice that the Congress always resorted to.

“Terrorists used to come to India and carry out attacks, the weak government at that time used to send dossiers. Today’s New India does not send dossiers, it gives dose to terrorists”, PM Modi said.

Stressing that his government has taken an aggressive approach against terror activities, PM Modi said “The headlines in Naya Bharat are: Mission LOC, India punishes Pakistan through surgical strikes.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi addressed three back-to-back rallies in two days in Maharashtra and launched a fresh attack on the Opposition.

Calling Muslim women as the ‘biggest victims of vote bank politics’, PM Modi said “You (Congress) did not provide security to the Muslim sisters even after Supreme Court’s verdict. The abolition of Triple Talaq provided security to families, not just the women.”

“They (Congress) did not stop the practice of Triple Talaq for the vote bank. I did not worry about the vote-bank. I don’t work for winning the elections. I wanted to make the lives of Muslim women easier and we made Triple Talaq illegal,” he emphasised.

PM Modi said that if the INDIA bloc is voted to power, the country will witness a new prime minister taking oath every year.

“Some people want to make the PM in instalments. They have decided to have a PM each year,” he said.

“When I speak of ‘EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Best India), the Prince of Congress (Rahul Gandhi) suffers from fever. Those who looted the country are in jail. Those who looted the country will have to pay back. And this is Modi’s guarantee”, PM Modi asserted.

PM Modi alleged that the Congress cared only about one family, but he cares about every family of the country.

“In 2014 and 2019, you gave us a huge mandate. We utilised it not to snatch anything from anyone, but to extend benefits and ensure welfare. Ours is a government that truly gives strength to social justice,” PM Modi stressed.

“The Congress and problems are like twin brothers. They never tried to end people’s problems. Latur has been facing a water crisis, but did they try to address the issue? Congress kept the water schemes in cold storage and hurdles were created in the water grid scheme,” PM Modi added.

Prime Minitser yet again clarified that the quota provided for the underprivileged sections in jobs and education as per the Constitution cannot be scrapped.

“Reservation cannot be taken away even if (chief Constitution framer) Babasaheb Ambedkar were to appear in person. But Congress wants to curtail the SC, ST reservation and give it to their vote bank,” he alleged.

“Our political rivals who are unable to take on the BJP-led government are now misusing technology to circulate fake videos on social media”, PM Modi said at another rally in Dharashiv.

“Now their lies aren’t working, they are using my face and with the help of artificial intelligence technology, selling fake videos in their Mohabbat ki Dukaan. This shop of lies must be shut down,” Modi said.

Stressing that a weak government can not build a strong nation, PM said that the ongoing Lok Sabha elections are about the country’s self-respect. “Will a weak government, which can collapse any moment, build a strong nation?,” he asked.

“Today, India is providing pace to the development of the world. Chandrayaan-3 landed on the dark spot on the lunar surface where no one else could reach. The anti-coronavirus vaccine manufactured in India saved the lives of crores of people across the globe. Now, India brings back its people safely even when there is heavy shelling (in war-torn countries),” PM Modi said.

Latur, Solapur and Dharashiv Lok Sabha seats will go to polls in the third phase on May 7, with the results to be announced on June 4.
