St Peter’s Church of England Aided School in Exeter, where Mr Paul Ruff worked as one of the school’s longest-serving teachers
A well-known teacher at a school in Exeter has died. It was announced yesterday (Friday, February 16), that Mr Paul Ruff, who was a PE teacher for many years at St Peter’s Church of England Aided School on Quarry Lane, had passed away.
In a statement on the school’s website, headteacher Phil Randall said: “We at St Peter’s are saddened to hear news of the death of Mr Paul Ruff. Paul had been one of our longest serving teachers at St Peters and was well-respected within the community.
“In these most difficult and challenging times, our thoughts and prayers are with Paul’s family and closest friends. We ask that we allow family, friends, students and colleagues the time and space they need to come to terms with this tragic loss.”
Mr Randall went on to say: “Our chaplains and external agencies will be providing additional pastoral support for students and staff. Please refrain from contacting school at this time unless it is urgent in order that we can focus our attention on pastoral support. We will update you in due course as appropriate.”
