Nicole Williams English recently made history when she became the first pregnant swimsuit model to grace the pages of the famed Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue.
The fashion model was eight months pregnant when she shot her layout as 2023 Rookie for the new issue on the beaches of Dominica, an island nation in the Caribbean Sea.
Having since given birth to her daughter, India Moon, now four months, the WAGS LA star is now showcasing her post-baby body as part of the promotion for Nia Lynn x Sports Illustrated Swimsuit collaboration that just dropped.
She took to her Instagram page and dropped a few photos and a video of herself striking a pose in about a dozen different swimsuits that included colorful bikinis and one-pieces.
This all came to fruition when Williams English (born Nicole Lynn Williams), 35, proposed the idea of designing her own swimwear to wear on the Miami Swim Week runway last July, which Sports Illustrated readily accepted.

‘Are you ready for summer?? @nialynncollection x @si_swimsuit Just dropped!!! Hit the SHOP button in my bio!! All styles are available NOW!!’ she wrote in the caption of a video showing her modeling the swimsuits she helped design for the collaboration with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
The 12-piece collaborative collection includes a range of string bikinis, a G-string and strapless bandeaus in traditional swimwear and new seersucker fabrications, as well as three vintage Body Glove-inspired, metallic maillots boasting the Sports Illustrated logo.
The Toronto, Ontario, Canada native posed in the various bikinis that included baby blue, burgundy, a red and blue pattern, two-tone orange pattern, as well as several two colored two-pieces like orange and baby blue and tan and mustard yellow.
As for her one-piece swimsuits, Williams English was her own best advert in electric blue, red, burgundy, mustard yellow, and a red and dark blue pattern.
‘My biggest dream and career goal was to be a Sports Illustrated rookie — my whole entire career I waited for this moment. Over 20 years — being a swimwear model and living in New York, that was my ultimate dream; it’s a huge accomplishment,’ Williams English confessed to WWD.
Up until the collaboration, Williams English had been running her exclusive swimwear label, launching four collections in small, exclusive drops since 2017.
The catwalk queen would waste little time when she reached a deal on the SI collaboration.

‘I got to work on a suit and I only had four days to make it. I sketched the whole suit, designed it and actually took an old pattern from my first collection and tweaked it and added the rookie logo to it. It was the most popular suit of my first collection that everybody was just so obsessed with, so I brought it back in gold metallic and mesh with black letters with ‘rookie’ across the front. That’s where it all started,’ she said of her first design.
Sports Illustrated team loved her rookie suit so much she went on to design the rest of the collaborative Nia Lynn x Sports Illustrated Swimsuit collection.
Williams English revealed that she wanted to have ‘totally new designs’ full of ‘sexy suits’ that could live up to the reputation of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
