Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a ‘Bharat Darshan’ for nine days from Monday (March 4), visiting at least 10 states and the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir by March 12. This comes ahead of the much-anticipated announcement of the Lok Sabha polls by the Election Commission of India after it completes its trip to J&K on March 12 and 13.

The prime minister will visit Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, J&K, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan between March 4 and 12. He will be initiating a bonanza of infrastructure projects, along with attending several events in Delhi on March 11 – the only full day he will spend at the national capital, according to his calendar for this tour.

A highlight will be Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to the Valley on March 7 since the abrogation of Article 370. He will be holding a big rally in Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium. Between his hectic schedule, the PM will be back in Delhi on March 6 evening for the central election committee (CEC) meeting of the BJP, where the party will decide on the second list of candidates.

Here how the PM’s schedule for his nine-day tour from March 4 to 12 looks like:

  • March 7 (Thursday): Modi will leave for Srinagar in the morning for a day’s trip.
  • March 8 (Friday): The PM will again leave Delhi for a two-day trip to Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and West Bengal. In Arunachal Pradesh, he will inaugurate the Sela Tunnel and stay the night in Assam.
