L&T arm gets significant orders in Ind, abroad
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary, Heavy Engineering, has recently won significant orders both domestically and internationally. The company, however, did not disclose the exact value of these orders. According to L&T, the value of the significant order falls within the range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore.
“L&T Heavy Engineering (HE)’s Modification, Revamp and Upgrade (MRU) business segment has bagged a major order from a key oil and gas customer…for their important debottlenecking project. For the last couple of years, MRU business has concentrated on Middle East opportunities and this order is an important milestone for MRU business in the Middle East,” the company said in a BSE filing.
In addition to this, the MRU business also secured the Coke Drum critical repair project from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) Gujarat Refinery. The company also received orders for critical equipment in the process plant equipment segment from overseas markets.
On the domestic front, Larsen & Toubro received orders to manufacture proprietary design high-pressure heat exchangers for a refinery project, among other projects.
Larsen & Toubro, a renowned Indian multinational, is valued at USD 23 billion. The company is primarily engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction projects, as well as hi-tech manufacturing and services.
