The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has issued a statement denying the allegations made by independent witness, Prabhakar Sail, in the Mumbai cruise drugs case. As per the witness, Rs 25 crore was demanded by the NCB to let off Aryan Khan.
In its statement, the NCB said, “As he is a witness in the case and the case is before the court and sub-judice, he needs to submit his prayer to the court rather than through social media if he has anything to say.”
The press release added, “There are certain vigilance-related allegations against certain persons in the [witness] affidavit which are based on overhearing by Mr Prabhakar. Our zonal director Sameer Wankhede has categorically denied these allegations.”
The witness’ affidavit will be forwarded to the director general of the NCB for “further necessary action”, the statement said.
