‘Great victory’: Environment Minister rejects Queensland wind farm proposal

Photographer Steven Nowakowski says Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek rejecting a Queensland wind farm proposal was a “great victory”.

Mr Nowakowski joined Sky News host Chris Kenny to discuss the latest decision to reject the wind farm proposal.

“Really pleased but also frustrated.

“Because not only myself but a great community of Ravenshoe, Kaban, Evelyn have fought for this for three years against a project that should never have been placed in that position in the first place.

“It’s a great victory, we’re all celebrating, however, we’re also frustrated that we had to fight against this inappropriate development in the first place.”
