Before the RCB clash, he predicted, “240 feels like a par score at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.” Little did anyone know, his team would not only score a whopping 287 runs but also win the game, proving the fan wrong who called him ‘overconfident.’

It all began with user @bhawnakohli5 reposting Cummins’ words. Bhawna replied, “A bit overconfident comment by Pat Cummins i feel. I want RCB to win today so he can speak like a normal captain.” This comment didn’t age well as internet users started trolling her, arguing that Cummins wasn’t overconfident but simply confident, understanding his team’s strengths and weaknesses, be it Australia in international cricket or Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. This season, as SRH comfortably reached the 200s, Cummins’ prediction rang true.

One commentator quipped, “Lol he knows cricket, RCB and their fans don’t.” Another remarked, “He is Australian. Confidence is in his blood and we are Indians we surely have Overconfidence which is costing us ICC trophies from past decade.” A third chimed in, “Never ever bet on RCB.
