The NAV office in the Alna district in Oslo was closed on Wednesday after receiving a threat, the newspaper VG writes.
“They have approached us after they received a phone call from a user that they perceived as threatening. They chose to close the office. We are on our way with a patrol to talk to the employees there,” operations manager Christian Krohn Engeseth in the Oslo Police District told the newspaper just before 11 o’clock.
Communications consultant Beate Sæther confirmed that a threat was directed at NAV Alna at NAV Oslo.
“We are handling the situation, and we have nothing more to comment on beyond this,” she told VG.
Two NAV employees were stabbed at NAV Årstad at Danmarksplass in Bergen on Monday morning. A woman in her late 50s died of her injuries, while a woman in her mid-30s suffered lighter injuries. A man in his 30s has been arrested and charged with murder and inflicting grievous bodily harm.
NAV chief Hans Christian Holte has stated that a new assessment of the security measures at the NAV offices in the country would be carried out.
