On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards (on the road) by a score of 123-112.

Klay Thompson came off the bench for the fifth straight game but led the way with 25 points, three rebounds and four assists while shooting 9/16 from the field and 6/11 from the three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time.

During the game, the five-time NBA All-Star made team history by moving ahead of Hall of Famer Paul Arizin (5,628) for fifth on the all-time field goals list.

Following Arizin, the next player for Thompson to pass will be Hall of Famer Chris Mullin (6,150).

Thompson is averaging 17.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range in 54 games.

With the victory, the Warriors improved to 30-27 in 57 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and 14-12 in the 26 games they have played on the road.

Following the Wizards, the Warriors will continue their road trip when they square off against Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks on Thursday evening at Madison Square Garden.

Thompson is in his 11th year playing in the NBA (all with Golden State) and has helped lead the franchise to four titles since the 2015 season.
