The 2023/24 DStv Premiership season has just passed its halfway mark with the fight on to finish in the top half of the standings.

The top eight teams at the conclusion of this season will qualify for next season’s MTN8.
Mamelodi Sundowns have all-but assured their spot in the select tournament.
However, the scramble for the remaining spots is a much tighter affair.
If the season were to finish today, Cape Town City FC, SuperSport United, Stellenbosch FC, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, TS Galaxy and Polokwane City would all qualify for a share of the MTN8 riches.

Orlando Pirates are the MTN8 defending champions.
The overall winner will bank R8 million with the seven other participating teams all taking home R800 000 for an overall payout of R13.6 million.
