My colleague's given her baby the WORST baby name – she sounds like a bottle of shampoo

PICKING the name for your newborn can be quite a task – most people spend months until they land what they think is the perfect fit for their baby.

But whilst many choose to go with more traditional choices, some parents pick less common names – some so odd, they sound like a hair product.

Looking for the worst baby names people have ever come across, a Redditor started a discussion.

One of the first people to share their experience was this person who wrote: ''My coworker named her baby “Strawberry Rain”.

''Which would be a great baby name, if she had given birth to a bottle of shampoo.''

Someone commented saying it reminded them of Jamie Oliver's kid named Petal Blossom Rainbow.

''Like…what the f**k man.''

Another Reddit user claimed his wife, who works in a hospital, had come back from work one day and was telling of a couple who had named their baby boy Kingslayer.

''Wish i was kidding,'' he added.

''Not gonna lie, it's pretty dope but also stupid,'' someone thought, whilst another prayed the child would never have a sister.

''Hope he's their last one, if Kingslayer has a baby brother Mom might not survive childbirth.''

Amongst these odd names, there was also one that people thought sounded like the name of batteries – Diesel Duramax.

Whilst some believed it was pretty bad, one person appeared to be a fan: ''That's the most badass name ever.

''Take a seat Max Power, Diesel Duramax!! is here.''

Where else to come across more odd names than school – and it appears that many Redditors, who took part in this discussion, had quite a few schoolmates whose names could be candidates for the worst ones ever.

''Met a girl named Jennifert in college…Jennifer with a T.

''Why? Because her parents wanted her to be different.''

One said it sounded ''like her parents wanted her to be bullied''.

''Taqueria, and for those who don't spaeak Spanish. A “Taqueria” is a place that sells tacos,''' was another example.

''Any name where the parent takes a classic name and changes the spelling of it in an effort to be edgy, like “Jayke” or “Mychael” – that's just so cringe-worthy to me,'' said a user.

''Extra points for the kid I met named “Moon Star''.''

''As a kid who's name is just as equally f****d up, please think before you name your children something dumb and edgy….'' urged a person.

''Arynne…. pronounced Erin.''
