Mum's festive punishment for naughty daughter divides opinions – so what do YOU think?

Asia's Tech News Daily

A MUM split opinion when she revealed her festive punishment for when her daughter is misbehaving.

Mum Tori showed how she used her Elf on the Shelf and some creativity to discipline her three-year-old daughter, but not everyone thinks it’s a fair punishment.

Some thought it was a genius parenting tip but others disagreed Credit: TikTok/@ tori2hands

The mum showed her punishment in a video clip.

She said: “Our daughter was an absolute little s*** today.

“And since we are a Christmas after Halloween family, Elfie is going to have a little surprise for her when she wakes up.

The mum went outside, picked up a stone from the garden, painted it black, placed it in a decorative red box, and then attached a letter addressed to her daughter from her Elf on the Shelf.

The aim is that the little girl would wake up and think she had received coal overnight, so she would think Santa knew she was misbehaving.

Some people thought Tori’s punishment was too harsh.

“Don’t do that. I once found myself in that situation when I was little, my aunt and uncle thought it was funny but I was so sad”, wrote one viewer.

Another agreed: “That’s manipulation and is generally frowned upon by the public.”

“That’s so mean though”, said a third.

Others had a real issue with Tori calling her daughter a “little s***”.

“Damn people are calling their kids s***s”, wrote one critical viewer.

Many parents, however, thought the festive discipline was genius.

“I love how people are mad at this! If you’re bad you get coal and she’s been old that, now she’s been shown!”, said one commenter, while a second agreed: “THIS IS SO FUNNY.”

Another added: “Why are people mad? This is teaching the kid actions have consequences.”

Meanwhile, I’m a strict parent & people don’t get my rules – I don’t allow sleepovers & if they won’t eat my food they don’t eat.

Also, we sold our house to travel in a caravan with our three girls – we ‘unschool’ the kids & let them learn what they want.

Plus, this fuming mum’s Elf on the Shelf display went horribly wrong – & left other parents in hysterics.
