A Kmart shopper has been left astonished by a chilling note her young son found wedged inside a children’s toy when they visited a Sydney store.

The woman, who posted about the haunting incident on Facebook, told followers in the group that she had been at a Kmart store in Penrith.

She claims her son found the hastily scribbled note inside a toy he was playing with off the shelf.

The note said simply: ‘You’re going to die in 10 days.’

‘Went to Kmart Australia Penrith today and found this note in one of [my son’s] toys,’ she wrote.

The woman, who posted about the haunting incident on Facebook, told followers in the group that she had been at a Kmart store in Penrith

‘Absolutely disgusting [that] people do this, especially in kids’ toys.

‘Luckily my son couldn’t read it, I feel sick that people think it’s okay.’

The mum worried that perhaps more disturbing notes had been left behind in other toys.

‘I’m just concerned about other kids that will see this [and] can read probably,’ she added.

Other parents were not pleased with the finding and hoped their children never came into contact with the bizarre notes.

‘That’s disgusting, what planet do we live on?’ said one person.

‘That is so wrong,’ said another.

A third added: ‘WTF, that’s shocking. What kind of sick a***hole does that?’

‘Customer service is important to us, as are our customers, so we’re really sorry to hear about your recent experience at our Penrith store,’ a Kmart representative wrote under the post.
