MoU pastikan Ismail kekal berkuasa, dakwa Kit Siang

PETALING JAYA: Veteran DAP Lim Kit Siang berkata perjanjian persefahaman (MoU) antara Pakatan Harapan (PH) dan kerajaan telah membawa sedikit kestabilan politik dalam memastikan Ismail Sabri Yaakob tidak digulingkan sebagai Perdana Menteri.

Beliau berkata, tanpa MoU itu, ia mungkin menyebabkan berlakunya ketidakstabilan dan kekacauan politik yang berterusan hingga menyebabkan negara terpaksa melantik seorang Perdana Menteri yang baharu.

“MoU itu adalah untuk memastikan berlakunya sedikit kestabilan politik di mana PH akan menyokong Bajet 2022 dan ia juga bermaksud tiada undi tidak percaya dilakukan terhadap Ismail.

“MoU berkenaan juga adalah sebagai pertukaran kepada janji Ismail untuk memberi fokus mengawal penularan pandemik Covid-19 untuk menyelamatkan nyawa dan kehidupan rakyat,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.

Beliau yang juga Ahli Parlimen Iskandar Puteri berkata terdapat banyak salah faham mengenai MoU terbabit bahawa PH kini menyokong Bajet 2022 yang berat sebelah dan memecahbelahkan, sedangkan bukan itu yang berlaku.

Katanya, pemimpin DAP dan PH akan terus menentang ketidakadilan dan diskriminasi dalam bajet yang tidak menggambarkan konsep “Keluarga Malaysia” seperti digagaskan oleh Perdana Menteri.

“Sebahagian pengundi Melaka telah salah faham bahawa kini tidak ada perbezaan antara kerajaan dan pembangkang dan undi kepada PH juga sama seperti undi kepada parti dalam kerajaan.”

Selain itu, Lim berkata, ketika Ismail menjadi Perdana Menteri pada 21 Ogos, Malaysia mencatatkan sebanyak 1,535,286 kes Covid-19 dan 13,936 kematian.

“Jika peningkatan kes dan kematian ini tidak dihentikan, kita mungkin melihat (pada hari ke-100 hari ini sebagai Perdana Menteri) jumlah kumulatif kes Covid-19 sebanyak lima juta dan hampir 100,000 kematian,” kata Lim.

Katanya, itu adalah sebab mengapa PH bertegas mengenai peruntukan RM45 bilion untuk dimasukkan ke dalam MoU kerana ia bukan hanya menyelamatkan nyawa tetapi kehidupan rakyat yang menerima kesan berterusan akibat pandemik Covid-19.

Lim berkata beliau merasakan tidak ada jaminan bahawa Ismail akan dilantik sebagai Perdana Menteri sekiranya Umno menang dalam pilihan raya umum (PRU) akan datang kerana Najib Razak sedang berusaha keras untuk memulihkan dirinya dan kembali sebagai Perdana Menteri ke-10.

“Ismail bukan seorang yang membawa pembaharuan, tetapi satu-satunya cara untuk mengelakkan beliau menjadi Perdana Menteri paling singkat di Malaysia ialah dengan menegakkan MoU dan menunggu sehingga 2023 untuk mengadakan PRU15,” katanya.
