MotoGP, GP di Misano 2021. Francesco Bagnaia: "Vorrei trasmettere la passione per la moto"

Quella che riguarda Francesco Bagnaia dice che era dal 2009 che un pilota italiano non partiva due volte consecutive in pole (allora ci era riuscito per tre gare Valentino Rossi) ed era sempre dal 2009, sempre con Rossi, che un italiano non riusciva a conquistare il primo tempo in qualifica a Misano. Quello che non dicono le statistiche è che Bagnaia sta guidando in un modo pazzesco, ha in mano questa moto come pochi altri piloti c’erano riusciti prima.

“Stiamo lavorando benissimo da un po’ di tempo e Misano mi dà uno stimolo in più, questo è un posto speciale per noi. E che bello arrivare al parco chiuso e poter passare un po’ di tempo a parlare con la gente in pit lane”.

Quando sei partito per il secondo tentativo, ti sei accorto di avere dietro Marquez?

“Dopo il primo tentativo, sono entrato in pista il prima possibile per farmi seguire da meno piloti. Ho visto che c’era Marquez ma ho anche pensato che, in ottica del campionato, non sarebbe stato male riuscire a mettere qualche pilota in più tra me e Quartararo. Ho spinto subito forte per scaldare la gomma anteriore: credo sia stata la chiave per ottenere la pole. Poi Marc è caduto, sono rimasto da solo”.

Si può ipotizzare una sfida tra te e Quartararo simile a quella con Marquez settimana scorsa?

“Mi piacerebbe lottare con Fabio, con il capo classifica del campionato: noi siamo pronti per tutte le condizioni, ma preferirei fosse asciutto, perché con il bagnato è più facile commettere un errore”.

Valentino sta per ritirarsi, ti piacerebbe raccogliere il suo testimone?

“E’ impossibile fare quello che ha fatto lui, qualcosa di irripetibile non solo per i risultati, ma per il suo carisma. Spero solo di ereditare da lui la capacità di trasmettere alla gente la passione per la moto”.

Si potrà fare un minimo di strategia con gli altri piloti Ducati?

“Difficile prevedere cosa succederà domani. Se partirò bene, mi piacerebbe imporre subito il mio passo. Rispetto ad Aragon, qui è più facile per il consumo delle gomme, ma fisicamente questa è una gara molto tosta”.

Dici di preferire l’asciutto, ma con il bagnato ci sarebbe forse la possibilità di guadagnare più punti.

“Sì, però qui con il bagnato non c’è una grande aderenza, è facile sbagliare. 53 punti sono tanti, io devo continuare a recuperare punti su di lui. Sarebbe bello fare una sfida con lui, ma vanno forte anche gli altri piloti Ducati”.

Quanta motivazione, quanta sicurezza ti ha dato la vittoria di domenica scorsa?

“Dopo la prima vittoria la motivazione è sicuramente più alta e questo è un GP speciale, perché è quello di casa e qui ho fatto un sacco di giri con la Panigale. Prima che arrivassi all’Academy, questa era per me una delle piste peggiori, adesso è una delle mie preferite, molto tecnica. E i fan ti danno grande motivazione. Sono molto concentrato sulla gara vorrei provare a far divertire i tifosi”.
