Moskau im Teil-Lockdown: Dramatische Corona-Lage in Russland

Mit neuen Corona-Höchstständen in Russland hat in der Hauptstadt Moskau ein Teil-Lockdown zur Eindämmung der Pandemie begonnen. Seit Donnerstag sind lediglich noch Supermärkte und Apotheken geöffnet.

Bis mindestens 7. November müssen Schulen, Kinos, Einkaufszentren und Fitnessstudios geschlossen bleiben. Restaurants und Cafés dürfen lediglich Essen und Getränke zum Mitnehmen anbieten.

Landesweit sollen arbeitsfreie Tage von diesem Samstag an gelten. Präsident Wladimir Putin hatte verfügt, dass der Lohn in dieser Zeit weitergezahlt werde. Das gilt hauptsächlich nur für den öffentlichen Dienst. Medien hatten zuletzt berichtet, dass Russen massenhaft in den Urlaub ins Ausland fliegen wollten, etwa nach Ägypten.

Laut offizieller Statistik vom Donnerstag wurden landesweit mehr als 40 000 Neuinfektionen binnen 24 Stunden registriert – so viele wie nie zuvor seit Beginn der Pandemie im Frühjahr 2020. Auch die Zahl der Corona-Toten pro Tag erreichte mit 1160 einen neuen Höchstwert.

Erst ein Drittel der 146 Millionen Menschen in Russland ist offiziellen Angaben zufolge vollständig geimpft. Es sei noch keine Entscheidung getroffen worden, ob es eine landesweite Impfpflicht geben werde, sagte Kremlsprecher Dmitri Peskow. «Mal sehen, wie sich die Lage entwickelt.» Bislang gibt es in einigen Regionen für bestimmte Berufe eine Pflicht, sich immunisieren zu lassen. Putin hatte sich erst vorige Woche gegen eine Impfpflicht ausgesprochen.

Unklar war, ob die arbeitsfreien Tage verlängert werden. Diese Möglichkeit hatte Putin nicht ausgeschlossen. Ob künftig etwa für die Nutzung des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs QR-Codes als digitaler Nachweis einer Corona-Impfung oder überstandenen Krankheit notwendig seien, liege in der Entscheidung der Regionen, sagte Peskow.
