The Christmas season isn’t far and Morrisons is reminding us by revealing its festive food range for this year.
This year’s Christmas menu is packed with delectable starters, meaty mains, traditional trimmings and show-stopping desserts that you don’t want to miss out on.
There are over three months to go until December 25, but that hasn’t stopped the supermarket chain from giving us a sneak peek at their festive offerings.
A Morrisons spokesman said: “Our foodmakers have been busy creating a show-stopping range of festive food – to make Christmas a truly special event to enjoy together again this year.”
Some of the Morrisons Christmas products are already available, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the full range to land on shelves. You can find out your nearest Morrisons store and its opening hours here.
Luckily, the supermarket chain has revealed dates for when we can expect to find the festive goodies in stores.
Mince pie fans can already get their hands on Morrisons’ new cherry bakewell flavoured versions of the traditional sweet treat, as they landed in stores and online on September 6.
We’ve put our favourites from the Morrisons Christmas food range below, along with the dates for when you can buy them. Warning: reading on will make you hungry!
The Best Camembert Sharing Bread, £5
Available from 15th November
Morrisons is spoiling us this festive season with a garlic and herb enriched bread, topped with caramelised red onion chutney and extra virgin olive oil, with an entire Camembert for baking and dipping into.
The Best British Turkey Cushion, £23
Available from 19th December
`A turkey breast packed with pork, chestnut and smoky bacon stuffing. The ‘cushion’ is finished with streaky bacon with a maple glaze and melting butter. It serves six to eight people.
The Best Apple & Cranberry Parcels Wrapped In Bacon, £6 for pack of six
Available from 29th November
Give your Christmas guests a feast to remember with mouth-watering party food like these gluten-free pork, apple and cranberry sausage meat parcels wrapped in smoked bacon.
Santa Belly Cake, £10
Available from 6th December
If this delightful cake doesn’t get you excited for Christmas, we don’t know what will. A soft madeira sponge is filled with raspberry jam and buttercream, then covered with soft icing and decorated edible Santa details. Serves 12.
The Best Morello Cherry Bakewell mince pies, £2 for a pack of six
A twist on the British classic, these cherry bakewell flavoured mince pies are a must-try for any mince pie lover. They are filled with amaretto spiked mincemeat with morello cherries and vine fruit, layered with a morello cherry and kirsch jam,
Each one is also topped with a glace cherry crumble, and finished with raspberry pieces.
The Best Vegetable Wellington, £5
Available from 21st December
Vegans won’t be missing out on the fun this year, as there are plenty of impressive meat-free options in the Morrisons Christmas range.
This vegetable and butternut squash joint is hand wrapped in a cranberry, apricot and chestnut duxelle with a wholegrain mustard melt. It is also encased in crisp golden puff pastry. Serves three.
