Monster transfer of 117 million euros in the making: ‘Jack Grealish on the verge of signing with Manchester City’ Football

City would have made that record offer to Villa last Friday. Neither club made a statement, but local media predict the signatures will be signed in the coming days. Grealish should be judged on Thursday.

The record amount for a player who makes the switch to an English team is currently in the name of Paul Pogba with 104 million euros. The French midfielder traded Juventus for Manchester United in 2016.

Grealish, who still has a four-year contract at Villa Park, scored six goals and twelve assists in 26 league games last season. He came on for England in the recently lost European Championship final against Italy at Wembley. With Ex-Genk player Leon Bailey, a replacement was already announced at The Villans.

According to British media, City, trained by Spaniard Pep Guardiola, wants to improve the record as soon as possible by also taking over Harry Kane. The experienced attacker has not yet been spotted at his London employer Tottenham Hotspur.
