Monaco Grand Prix is Back on the Calendar After COVID-19
The Principality of Monaco has been hosting one of the most prestigious motor races in the world on the last weekend of May every year since 1950, the Monaco Grand Prix.
What is Monaco Grand Prix?
It is a Formula 1 Race that takes place on a narrow track of varying heights and rough terrain in the streets of Monaco, making it one of the most difficult tracks in the F1 Championship. Despite the difficulty of its track, it is the shortest race in the championship at a distance of 260 Km compared to 305 Km in regular races.
History of Monaco Grand Prix
The Circuit de Monaco is one of the oldest European circuits, as the first inaugural race was held on its territory in 1929 and the Monaco Grand Prix was added to the first F1 world championship calendar in 1950.
The circuit is located on the streets of the neighborhoods of Monte Carlo and Condamine in the Principality of Monaco, and it usually takes six weeks to build, and is dismantled after the race for another three weeks.
