Mohamed Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has flown into London, leading to speculation over the Liverpool forward’s contract negotiations.
Having been reported by the Mirror yesterday evening that Salah ’s agent had arrived into the country, the pair appeared to celebrate the 29-year-old’s performance in a London restaurant.
The wide forward produced another stunning solo goal against Watford on Saturday to take his tally for Liverpool this season to 10 goals in as many games.
Both Salah and Abbas Issa took to social media to display the food they enjoyed together at The Araki sushi restaurant in Westminster, suggesting that talks over a new deal are set to continue.
There have been various reports that the Liverpool forward had been demanding £500,000 a week to stay at Liverpool, however the ECHO understands that the Egyptian is not asking for that amount.
Nevertheless, talks will continue between the two parties as Liverpool look to strike an agreement with their star man.
Meanwhile, Abbas Issa has become a somewhat familiar name to Reds fans during Salah’s time at Anfield.
He took to social media on the opening day of this campaign, after his client had scored his first goal of the season against Norwich, posting the not-so-thinly-veiled tweet towards the Reds’ hierarchy: “I hope they’re watching.”
Salah’s performances so far this season have seen him mentioned as one of the current best players in the world, with Jurgen Klopp helping to lead the plaudits for the Egyptian forward .
“He is for sure one of the best in the world right now,” the Reds boss said, after the 5-0 victory over Watford.
“It’s not about me to say who is the best. But for me he is the best.
“I see him every day and that makes it maybe more easy for me. But there is Lewandowski out there and people like that, Ronaldo still scoring like crazy, Messi still pulling out performances to a world-class level.
“And others will come. But in this moment, for sure he is on top of that list.”Internet Explorer Channel Network
