Lizzie’s outing comes after she revealed that her house was recently targeted by suspected burglars while she was inside the property, leaving her completely ‘terrified’.

The socialite took to Instagram last month month to reveal the ‘frightening’ ordeal as she claimed the scary incident happened while she was in the bath.

She shared more details with MailOnline as she told how she had heard a ‘huge bang’ from downstairs while her whole house was in complete darkness other than her bathroom light.

Lizzie said she ‘couldn’t move with fear’ as she didn’t know what was happening, claiming it was a local farmer who called the police after allegedly seeing two men outside her home.

She said the farmer ‘spooked’ the men and they drove straight through her fence while trying to flee, but overturned the car while driving at high speed and ran away.

Lizzie shared her relief that the suspected burglars were not successful in entering her home and claimed she was targeted because the men believed the property was empty and that she was still on holiday in Barbados.

She told MailOnline of the ordeal: ‘I could hear a loud noise downstairs as if someone was trying to get into my house. I couldn’t move with fear! I was sitting in the bath with the bathroom door unlocked.

‘I had just got into a relaxing bath after a lovely dinner with a friend. The last thing I expected was this!

‘The only light on in the house was in the bathroom everything was in darkness as I was going to go straight to bed and I was on my own in the house.

‘It was very terrifying,’ she added, claiming that it could’ve been a very different story if the police didn’t get to her house so quickly.
