Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is “totally disconnected” from the struggles of “day-to-day Australians”.
Mr Kroger’s comments come after a recent Newspoll conducted showed the two-party preferred to be a 50-50 split between Liberal and Labor parties.
The Liberal National Party’s primary vote is up to 38 and the Australian Labor Party’s down to 31.
“Albanese has been on another planet, often in another country over the last six to twelve months and he is totally disconnected from the struggles of day-to-day Australians,” Mr Kroger said.

“What this bloke needs to do is try and refocus on some policy ideas.
“He’s certainly going to lose his majority in the next election.”
