Rajasthan Royals’s Jos Buttler
Jos Buttler smashed an unbeaten century to guide Rajasthan Royals to a record-breaking final-ball win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the India Premier League (IPL).
The England limited-overs captain kept his nerve as wickets fell around him, hammering 107 off just 60 balls – including nine fours and six maximums – at Eden Gardens.
The Royals were set a hefty 224 to win and Buttler hit the winning run with the last ball to complete the IPL’s highest run chase.
The Knight Riders had earlier reached 223-6 in their 20 overs thanks mainly to a maiden T20 century from West Indian opener Sunil Narine, who struck 109 off 56 balls.
The total did not prove to be enough though as a sensational two-wicket victory left the Royals on top of the table.
