Thousands of Consumers Energy customers had power interruptions as severe storms moved throughout Michigan. More than 25,000 people in the Portage region lost power as a result of the storm’s worst winds.

The National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac office has issued a warning, stating that although the storm is weakening, it still has the ability to deliver strong gusts and hail to the area.
