Michael Knowles: eSafety Commissioner ‘constantly’ tried to ‘censor independent voices’
The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles says Australia’s eSafety Commissioner “constantly” tried to have big tech “censor independent voices” when she worked for Twitter.
X owner Elon Musk has mocked Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s social media crackdown after his platform was ordered to remove graphic content.
“This American, who worked at Twitter in the pre-Elon days, who was constantly trying to have big tech censor independent voices, made it all the way over to your country and, from her position in the government, teamed up with the World Economic Forum and tried to implement new censorship,” Mr Knowles told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“The problems begin when those countries and those international, unaccountable, liberal, global institutions like the World Economic Forum want to start censoring everybody else’s country.
“That is exactly what the eSafety Commissioner in Australia, Julie Grant … is trying to push … so they’re fining people $500,000 a day.”
