Why 2021 Tamil Thriller, November Story, Is A Must Watch

The options of choosing from different genres of series have increased manifold. All thanks to the rise of OTT platforms in the country. Among several genres of entertainment, crime-thriller has been gaining major popularity among viewers. From Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur and Pataal Lok to Netflix’s Killer Soup, Delhi Crime and Kohrra, all these crime-thriller series have received a lot of love from the audience. Adding to the list, a Tamil language crime thriller – which released in 2021 – has secured its place in viewers’ hearts. People who love murder mystery and crime thriller series should add November Story to their watch list. As per reports, this seven-episode web series revolves around solving a murder mystery.

This series follows the story of a father-daughter duo whose lives take an unfortunate turn over time. The young daughter, Anuradha – who is an ethical hacker – finds her father Ganesan, a crime novelist, next to a dead body of a woman. Ganesan, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, seemed to know nothing about his presence besides the dead body. Eventually, Anuradha takes responsibility and embarks on a run to find out the truth about the murder, and she unveils a series of unexpected revelations.

Given its gripping plot and excellent performance by the actors, the series received a positive response from the viewers. It allows the audience to solve a series of mysteries at every moment, which marked the series to be interactive as well.

Written and directed by Indhra Subramanian, November Story features Tamannaah Bhatia as Anuradha Ganesan, GM Kumar as Ganesan, Pasupathy as Kuzhandhai Yesu, and Myna Nandhini as Chithra, among others.

The show was produced by Vikatan Televistas. The filming of the series took place before the Covid-19 pandemic in November 2019. Although most of the parts of the series were shot before the lockdown, the production and post-production stage of the series was significantly harmed by it.

Announced as a Hotstar Special, November Story has been broadcast exclusively on the streaming platform since May 20, 2021. It was released in Tamil language, however, Disney Plus Hotstar offers the series dubbed in Telugu and Hindi language also.
