Melissa McCarthy reigned over the annual West Hollywood Pride celebration on Sunday.
The Little Mermaid star, 52, wore a floor-length, rainbow-colored dress and added even more flair with a rainbow-striped, fringed cape.
She rode down Santa Monica Boulevard in a white BMW festooned with a plethora of colorful balloons and signs that said ‘Say Gay,’ referring to Florida Governor Ron DeStantis’ ‘Don’t Say Gay’ campaign.
The Mike and Molly alum donned a voluminous brunette wig and did her makeup in a dramatic fashion, embracing her inner drag queen.
The Bridesmaids actress gleefully waved at the parade’s spectators.

A Pride parade is a natural setting for the Tammy star.
She based her performance as Ursula in The Little Mermaid on the iconic drag queen Divine.
In fact, the character of Ursula was also inspired by Divine in the original 1989 animated film.
‘There’s a drag queen that lives in me. I’m always right on the verge of going full-time with her,’ she told Entertainment Weekly in April.
Melissa sings Ursula’s anthem, Poor Unfortunate Souls, in the film and she added that accepting a singing role was ‘really fun.’
Last week, The Heat actress shared a sweet story about Halle Bailey during the filming of The Little Mermaid.
‘Halle is at all times incredibly quietly humming,’ she explained to Triple J Radio. ‘There is always this beautiful, it’s a different melody, it’s so quiet, but we were mic’d because sometimes we were so far away from each other that if we whispered to each other we could fully hear it in our earpiece.
She continued: ‘So she would just be sitting, a lot of times in the eyeline, because a lot of time I was up and she’d be sitting in this little tiny ball just on the ground and just so quietly but always humming.’

Can you hear it: And he goes “I can always hear it, it’s my favorite thing”‘

Adorable: McCarthy went on to explain that she didn’t think Halle knew she was doing it. ‘Sometimes I don’t even think you knew you were doing it, it just comes from you…it truly was divine,’ she recalled
