Tradies have had $20,000 worth of tools stolen during a spate of thefts across Melbourne’s inner-east.
Investigators believe a man targeted several vehicles belonging to tradespeople in the Hawthorn area in the early hours of August 19, with $20,000 in tools nicked.
“We are hoping to reunite some tradies with their beloved tools after they were stolen during a series of thefts in the Hawthorn area last month,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said on 3AW.

CCTV footage captured a Black VW Amarok with distinctive chrome rims at each location.
Police have released images of the car and a man who they believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.
