Bei der NHL-Partie zwischen den Los Angeles Kings und den Ottawa Senators in der Nacht auf Sonntag kommt es zu einer unsportlichen Aktion.

Im dritten Drittel liefern sich Kings-Stürmer Brendan Lemieux (25) und Brady Tkachuk (22) der Ottawa Senators ein Gerangel, bei welchem die Schiedsrichter Mühe haben die Streithähne zu trennen. Eine Schlägerei im Eishockey ist nichts Neues. Dass Tkachuk involviert ist, ebenso wenig. Doch was sich Lemieux dabei leistet, ist unfassbar.

«Niemand mag diesen Typen»

Im Video ist zu sehen, wie der US-Amerikaner seinem Gegner in die Hand beisst. Und das gleich zweimal. Seine blutende Hand zeigt er danach auch dem Schiedsrichter und sagt: «Er hat mich verdammt nochmal gebissen.» Lemieux erhält dafür eine Matchstrafe.

Damit nicht genug. Auch nach der Partie hallt der Zwischenfall noch nach. «Das war die feigste Aktion, die man hätte tun können», sagt Tkachuk im Interview. Er redet sich in Rage und geht auf Lemieux los: «Ihr könnt jeden fragen, niemand mag diesen Typen oder will mit ihm spielen. Er ist ein schlechter Mensch, ein schlechter Teamkollege. Er ist einfach ein Witz und dürfte nicht mehr in dieser Liga spielen.»

Dem Übeltäter drohen nun mindestens sechs Spielsperren. Er wurde vom NHL-Department für Spielersicherheit (DOSP) via Videotelefonat für eine Anhörung vorgeladen. (che)
