ALBAWABA – AstraZeneca, the global, science-led Pharmaceutical giant, is under fire and facing a harsh lawsuit over a side effect of its developed COVID-19 vaccine.
The company confessed for the first time that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine can cause a rare side effect to some people and now it is being sued over claims that its vaccine, developed with the University of Oxford, has caused many deaths and some serious injuries.
The Pharmaceutical giant refuted the accusations but agreed that its Covid vaccine “can, in very rare cases, cause TTS.”

A father of two boys was the first to file a lawsuit against AstraZeneca company after his COVID-19 vaccine shot caused him a brain injury.
Jamie Scott took the vaccine in April 2021 and days after getting the shot he suffered a brain injury and now he is unable to work so he filed a lawsuit against AstraZeneca accusing it of exaggerating the vaccine’s effectiveness and downplaying its risks.
However, the company is refuting the accusations pointed at it.
He told Sky News: “Ten days after having his first dose of the vaccine, Mr Scott woke up with a severe headache, started vomiting and had trouble speaking.”
Then at the hospital, Jamie Scott was diagnosed with a clot that was stopping blood from draining from his brain, and a haemorrhage in his brain. He underwent surgery and remained in a coma for more than 30 days.
