McDonald's Reopens Night Classroom For Students and Teachers
(SPOT.ph) Beating the deadline for a school project or catching up on lessons before a big exam? Filipino students now have another cool and connected space to pull their all-nighters.
Fast food giant McDonald’s just revived its “Night Classroom” program, which gives free study space, WiFi and device charging to students and teachers for every purchase from a selection of McDonald’s products. The program was conceived to provide a safe area for students looking for comfortable after-school spots to study.
Night Classroom started last April 15 and runs until May 31, with 107 branches across the country offering the promo Mondays to Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. This year’s wave is its biggest yet, said McDonald’s.
“In the summer heat, we know how hard it is to concentrate when you’re not comfortable,” said Meryl Adiel T. Hernandez, Assistant Vice President Corporate Relations and Impact of Golden Arches Development Corporation. “As McDonald’s continues to grow and reach more customers nationwide, we recognize an even bigger responsibility to address the needs of the community, including students who’ve always frequented our stores — whether it’s for a quick snack or an all-nighter study session.
“McDonald’s Night Classroom is one of the ways we support students and young professionals by providing a safe space that allows them to focus on working for their future.”
