In videos posted to social media a woman wearing a keffiyeh scarf was seen scuffling with NYPD officers.

Several protesters were also seen being arrested by officers on the street.

‘You’re funding genocide’ shouted one woman as she was restrained by police.

Protesters can be heard demanding a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict, and chanting ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘shame on you.’

At one stage officers arrested several of the organizers, including Nerdeen Kiswani, for using a speaker.

The protesters then surrounded a white van police as they loaded the organizers into the back, in an effort to prevent them from being transported away.
