Two homes were broken into in north Wexford recently with a sum of money and property stolen in one of the incidents.
The first burglary occurred in Ardmine Court between 2 to 6p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 23. Residents returned home in the evening and found that their rear window was smashed. A burglar had gained entry through the window and stole a sum of money and some property.
Aside from the window, no further damage was caused to the property.
In the second incident, nothing was taken, however damage was done to the front door of an apartment on Esmonde Street at around 12.30a.m. on Thursday, January 25. Residents heard a loud bang during the night but only discovered that their front door had been broken into the following morning.
Gardaí are now appealing for anyone that saw anything suspicious in these areas at these times to come forward.
