Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 launched at Rs 6.50 lakh

Better late than never. Well, as far as Maruti Suzuki is concerned, that is what this Swift is all about. The latest 2024 Swift has landed on Indian shores, but the pricing starts at 6 1/2 lakhs for the base variant goes up to almost rupees 10,00,000 before the taxes begin. But for the price that you’re paying, there are a whole lot of updates that the new Swift is offering, starting with how it’s designed, how it looks now right at the start, let me tell you that this is an accessorized version of the Swift. So many of what you see here is something that you will actually have to opt for additionally. So the bumper here in gloss black, the red elements that you see. These are available but optional. Extra what are not optional though and are available depending on the variant, are absolutely new headlight units that this car gets. The boomerang shaped DRLS are absolutely brand new. The fog light treatment has been tweaked just a little bit and well on the face. The Swift now definitely seeks to look more sportier than before. On the side here you the car stands on alloy wheels. Dual tone alloys have been given. The profile mostly remains identical because again this is an accessorized version of the vehicle. You get graphics on the Orvms more red treatment and piano black finish on the side here as well. Now at the rear 2 Maruti designers have tried to retain some of the key design highlights of the Swift while giving it some fresh treatment. So the LED tail lights here are new. There is a strip of black in the middle and there is a spoiler at the top. And of course that red part I keep reminding you, is part of the accessories list. Now, all of these design changes, what do they do? How do they work? We will of course be giving our reviews when we get to actually test this vehicle out on roads, but there are changes not just on the outside but in the cabin of this car as well. So come, let me show you what they are now. If you’re someone who already drives the latest generation Maruti Suzuki vehicle, then this cabin is largely familiar to you. The steering wheel D shaped at the bottom with the mounted controls are on this particular model. The 4.2 inch driver display has been taken and brought into this car as well. There is a floating infotainment screen here in the middle gets support for Wireless Android Auto Apple Car Play. The Alchemist sound system has been brought in as well, but the rest of the fit, feel and finish of this vehicle of course is very, very Maruti Suzuki. Once again, it is my duty to remind you that this is an accessorized version of the vehicle, so the seeds that you see here are part of the accessories list. The graphics here on the dash, the red and the piano black finish is again part of the optional accessories list. Now in terms of feature list, the latest Swift has been updated with things like wireless phone charger. There are two high speed phone charging units at the back as well. There are rare AC vents at the back to and the company officials tell us that the storage space for bottles have actually been deepened to accommodate cups and mugs of a larger size. An absolutely new petrol engine finds its way inside this new Swift, which the company official says has helped it to actually increase the mileage both in the automatic version and the manual transmission while actually cutting down on the emission levels.
