Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen says Australians will have “more choices” of vehicles with efficiency standards.

Mr Bowen said that he can “confirm” that the efficiency standards will expand the vehicle market in Australia.

“I say to those members of the National Party and those rural and regional Liberals, perhaps they should listen to their constituents a little more.

During Question Time on Wednesday, Chris Bowen read out loud a letter he received from the Victorian farmer.

The letter urges the government for more access to electric and fuel-efficient vehicles.
