Martin Lewis says Tesco shoppers can get 'free' money by using their Clubcard

Asia's Tech News Daily

Martin Lewis has revealed Tesco shoppers could get free money from the retailer to spend in-store – but they have to act quickly.

The Money Saving Expert founder explained how shoppers can get their hands on the “free boost” from the supermarket giant during his ITV show ‘The Martin Lewis Money Show’ last night (October 14).

During the segment, the financial guru described it as a “little bit of a boost before Christmas”, according to Birmingham Live.

Speaking on the ITV show, Martin Lewis said: “Now, do you do your Christmas shopping at Tesco?

“This is your last chance for a free boost.

“Basically the Clubcard Christmas Saver Scheme – you must top it up by next Wednesday.”

He went on to explain: “What you do, you pay into it and it gives you vouchers to spend in-store – but it adds 6 per cent on top.

“So if you know you’re going to be spending in Tesco for Christmas you may as well charge that up before next Wednesday and put £200 in and you’ll have £212 and it’s a little bit of a boost.

Martin also issued a warning to everyone with car insurance during the programme.

He told people to consider switching their car insurers now as he said price changes were due to come in.

He revealed insurers could make a big change to the prices of policies “in a few weeks”.
