Stay moderate and reject extremism, Salleh Said Keruak says in Raya message
PETALING JAYA: Former Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak has called for closer ties among Muslims and non-Muslims in the state in order to build a harmonious society.
In his Hari Raya greeting on Wednesday (April 10), he urged the people of Sabah to take a moderate approach and reject extremism, which would only divide the people.
“We in Sabah celebrate all festivals – Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Christmas and Pesta Kaamatan,” the former communications and multimedia minister said in a TikTok video.
In the video, he was seen in a re-branded look wearing a mustard-yellow hoodie.
“My family and I extend our heartfelt wishes to all who celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, especially in the area of Kota Belud,” added the former MP for the constituency.
