The Traitors fans hail Ross as the show's new icon as he vows to avenge his mother Diane's death... but STILL keeps their connection a secret: 'He needs to claim the lot!'

The Traitors Ross has been hailed by fans as the show’s new favourite after he switched over to the dark side on Friday’s episode and swore to avenge his mother.

The video director, 28, joined The Traitors after receiving an invitation from fellow contestants Harry and Andrew.

Ross was left devastated after Diane was eliminated from the competition after they revealed to viewers that they are mother and son but are keeping their connection a secret.

Even after Diane’s ‘murder’, Ross vowed not to tell his fellow Faithfuls the truth about their relationship, and a shock twist saw him become a new Traitor.

And while Harry secretly had a plot to feed him to lions as bait when the temperatures got hot in the group, fans have riled together to support the son.

Andrew and Harry decided to recruit another Traitor to their team at the end of the episode as they tactically looked towards the final.

But Ross had other plans on his mind – revenge – as he immediately quizzes his fellow traitors about why he murdered Diane and who made the call.

The decision to join the traitors was not an easy one for the player as he debated on saying no to their offer.

After receiving the letter, Ross said: ‘I do not want this, I do not want any of this. I just want a nice happy game, be a faithful till the end, win the money.

”Maybe I should just say no because of a little thing like murdering my mum.’

‘But I think mum would be looking down on me now, as horrible as that sounds, and I think she would say ”go for it”’, he added.

‘I don’t want to get murdered. Go on then I will join them, why not.’

After realising his fate, Ross looked on the bright side and said he is intrigued to know who killed his mother, adding: ‘If he can’t beat them, join them.’

When he joined his fellow traitors in the turret, he called Harry out straight away for dumping his other three traitors in the dirt during banishments.

Without hesitation, Ross asked what the reasoning was behind murdering his mother as he ‘wanted an answer’.

Harry bravely told Ross that his mother was getting ‘too brave’ so he ‘put her in er place’.

After hearing him bad mouth his parent, Ross revealed secretly that he could feel himself going to ‘boiling point’.

‘My mum was murdered. So, I will take revenge. If I’ve got an opportunity, they are getting it’, he said with a grin.

‘ross asking about why they murdered diane, harry responding how he did and i totally forgot that they dont know that diane is ross’ mum… bet ross was boiling inside.’
