Air India Express Withdraws Termination Letters Given To 25 Employees

Air India Express has agreed to withdraw termination letters issued to 25 cabin crew, news agency PTI reported quoting sources on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, the airline terminated the contract of that at least 25 senior crew members who “reported sick” a day ago, even as the carrier continued to reel from flight cancellations 24 hours after the crisis began.
As per sources, all cabin crew members, who have reported sick, have been asked to report for duty with fitness certificates immediately.
“Moreover, Air India Express management has agreed to reinstate the 25 cabin crew who were terminated. Assurance has also been given to cabin crew on all matters raised before management and during conciliation proceedings will be looked into and resolved,” they added.
