President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday branded former Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) intelligence officer Jonathan Morales as a ”professional liar,” as he compared him to a jukebox.
Marcos downplayed the claim of Morales that he was included in the leaked confidential documents, a pre-operation report and authority to operate, of the anti-drug agency.
”Mahirap naman bigyan ng importansya ‘yan. You know, this fellow is a professional liar at parang jukebox ‘yan. Kung anong ihulog mo — basta maghulog ka ng pera kahit anong kantang gusto mo, kakantahin niya. Kaya wala, wala… Walang saysay. Tingnan mo na lang ang kanyang record,” Marcos said.
(It’s hard to give him importance. You know, this fellow is a professional liar and is like a jukebox. So long as you put coins, he will sing whatever song you like. That’s why it’s nonsense … just look at his track record.)
(He has a case regarding false testimony. He has a history of dragging so many people. It seems that it’s his job to do so. I call him a professional liar.)
Earlier in a Senate inquiry, PDEA Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo reiterated that Marcos was never part of the agency’s drug watchlist.
Last April 2, PDEA already released a statement, indicating that the two documents were not found in their Plans and Operations Reports Management Information System or PORMIS.
Aside from Marcos, actress Maricel Soriano was also linked to illegal drugs.
The PDEA pre-operation report dated March 11, 2012 indicated that “a group of showbiz and politically affluent personalities are frequently using illegal drugs” inside a condominium in Makati City.
Soriano testified in the Senate probe and she said that she doesn’t know anything about those documents.
Soriano also said she was confused why she was invited to the hearing on the supposed leaked PDEA documents. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
