Marcos names Bello as MECO chair, Nograles as CSC head

Two outgoing Cabinet officials of President Rodrigo Duterte will join the incoming administration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., his camp announced Thursday.

Marcos named outgoing Labor Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello 3rd as chairman and resident representative-designate of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).

He also renominated former Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles as chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Nograles was among the Duterte ad-interim appointees that were bypassed for lack of quorum by the Commission on Appointments.
