The good times keep rolling for Easton Cowan.
The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect had two goals and an assist on Sunday as his London Knights advanced to the OHL final with a 4-2 win over the host Saginaw Spirit in Game 6 of the Western Conference championship series.
Earlier this week, Cowan was named winner of the Red Tilson Trophy as the OHL’s most outstanding player for 2023-24.
Cowan had a 42-game point streak during the regular season and playoffs. The 18-year-old, picked 28th overall by the Leafs in last year’s NHL Draft, leads the Knights with 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 14 playoff games.
The Knights will face the winner of the Oshawa Generals-North Bay Battalion series in the OHL final. The Battalion have rallied from 3-0 series deficit to tie it at 3-3 after Sunday’s 8-1 win in North Bay, Ont.
Game 7 is Monday in Oshawa, Ont.
The winner of the OHL final will join the Spirit, the WHL champion and the QMJHL champ at the Memorial Cup in Saginaw, Mich.
