Manu admits to All Blacks dream
At a time when plenty of players are clearing out, an old favorite was back at Roosters training, helping out the coaches. There was supposed to be a soft side to the departure of Joey Manu. Some had suggested that his stint in Japan to play rugby would be a quick one with a return to the Roosters mid year. No one told Joey that though. I haven’t really said I’m coming back. So once I get over there I’m playing rugby union and I’m just going to try my best of that and if I enjoy it I’ll I’ll keep. I’ve got a few things that I want to do, but one of the things you want to do the All Blacks, yeah. Obviously that’s a big dream for any Kiwi kids, but yes, it’s hard ’cause they you have to play New Zealand to play with them. So yeah, we’ll see how that goes. Hopefully they can change the rules. Couldn’t they bring that in and allow foreign players? I don’t know. Up to them, really. Man, whose brilliance can’t be replaced. But the Roosters have been in the market for a different weapon. David Fafida, you’d like to try and tackle. Hey staff. He’s got some big legs. He’s he’s like I said, he can move for a big guy. So yeah, he’s a great player and that’s it. Wherever he goes, I guess. Yeah, I’m not too sure. I don’t really read too much, but whoever is going to end up, I think it’ll be good for either team. And in Jared Maria Hargreaves 300th game for the Roosters, the enforcer of the future, Spencer Lenny returns from his eight week ban for racially vilifying Ezra Mam. He’s just been going about his own little work and the shadows there and now he gets to come back out and play with us. So I think having them back on our team is going to be special. He’s just a powerful ball right now and he brings a lot of energy to this team. Danny Weidler, 9 News.
