Manchester United fans make prediction about Ethan Laird first team role after loan displays

Manchester United fans think Ethan Laird deserves a chance in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team next season.

Laird, 20, made his senior debut for United in the Europa League against Astana two years ago, but since then first-team opportunities have been hard to come by, although the youngster did enjoy a productive loan spell in League One with MK Dons last term.

The right-back impressed during that loan period and he has since made a temporary switch to Swansea for this season.

Laird has made five appearances for the Welsh club in the second tier, but it was his performance against Millwall in midweek that caught some supporters’ eyes, with United fans taking to social media to discuss the United loanee’s display.

Would you give Laird a chance at United next season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Some United supporters predicted Laird will be ready to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka next campaign.

Swansea fans were also quick to praise Laird this week.

Laird will remain at the Swans until the end of the season. He is contracted at United until 2023.
