SA Police are looking for a man they say was involved a violent altercation on South Australia’s Coorong.

They say another man was stabbed during the incident at a hotel on the Princes Highway at Policeman Point about 3:00am.

The victim was treated by paramedics and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, about 200 kilometres away.

He has serious injuries but is in a stable condition.

Senior Constable Kate Dawson said police knew the suspect’s identity.

“The suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival but is believed the suspect is known to the victim, so the investigation remains ongoing,” she said.

Police are still at the scene.
