A man has left people in stitches with quirky wisdoms from his husband – including statements that ‘dinosaurs get bad press’ and pensive questions about why humans haven’t evolved to have gills.
Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – the doctor, originally from Newcastle, going by @doctor_dru_ noted down dozens of funny quips from his better half.
The thread racked up more than 430,400 views and 1,900 likes as social media users delighted at ‘the best thing they’ve ever read’.
It included 35 quotes, which ranged from the man’s views on evolution to ruminations on how he would like to be buried.
‘A list of quotes that have come out of the mouth of my 30-year-old husband,’ @doctor_dru_ began.

Number one was: ‘I’m really sad about the fact that technological advancement has halted evolution and that’s why I can’t have gills.’
It was swiftly followed by: ‘I’m just very aware that my bones are all connected today and I don’t like it.’
Elsewhere his husband also queried why we ‘don’t have small feet like chickens’ and how we know that ‘dinosaurs were aggressive, actually?’.
‘Like how do we know that if we met a dinosaur it wouldn’t have the temperament of a Guinea pig?,’ he continued. ‘I think dinosaurs have had a bad press really.’
He also admitted to ‘hating ear plugs because he feels like they might suck his brain out when he pulls them out’.
Another quote – seemingly straight out of the hit 1995 flick Clueless – saw the man asking: ‘Right you know how you can be overwhelmed and underwhelmed. What is whelmed?’
He also didn’t understand why we don’t just ‘bury people vertically’ and posited that he would like to live on Jupiter.
Social media users were howling at the snippets of wisdom shared in the post.

‘Brilliant,’ one replied. ‘His questions remind me of my two sons between the ages of 6-10, and sometimes still now, aged 11 and 14.’
‘Oh my good god this is genuinely the best thing I have ever read and can I be best friends with your husband please,’ another penned.
‘My face hurts with the laughing and I’ve made inhuman sounds because I couldn’t catch my breath as I got into the full stride of reading them all.’
A third said: ‘Your husband is hilarious. I hope you answered all of these questions.

In another recent post, the @doctor_dru_ updated followers on his husband’s reaction to the viral post.
‘Told my husband about the attention this thread has received,’ he wrote. ‘His response was “I just bring joy to people’s lives every day without even thinking about it. Should I run for MP?”.’
