According to realtor Kathy L. Woodruff the building was being leased out and operated by someone for 13 years before the lease ran out. A mutual agreement was made between the owner of the building and the operator to where the lease wouldn’t be renewed and operations went back to the building owner.
Woodruff said that the owner and his wife came out of retirement and put a lot of money into the building over the summer so that the building was newly renovated.
The renovations happened over the summer of 2023 and included new appliances, a new roof and ceilings, updated bathrooms, new electrics, central air, flooring, and so much more.
The bar is being listed online at $799,900 and anyone interested in owning a piece of Horseheads history can contact Kathy Woodruff with Signature Properties at 607-796-9817 or 607-738-9204.
