The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning set to take effect from midnight tonight until 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Residents across Warren and Morris counties are advised to brace themselves for heavy snowfall and potentially hazardous travel conditions.

According to the NWS, significant snow accumulations ranging from 7 to 10 inches and up to 13 in some spots are expected. Particularly, northern Warren and Morris counties are likely to bear the brunt of the storm’s impact.

  • West Milford: 13 inches
  • Wantage: 12 inches
  • Paramus: 10 inches
  • Morristown: 8-12 inches
  • Newark: 8 inches
  • Kennedy Airport: 6 inches

In addition to the heavy snowfall, gusty winds with speeds reaching up to 35 mph are anticipated to accompany the storm. These strong winds have the potential to increase travel difficulties and contribute to reduced visibility.
