A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
The earthquake occurred at 8:56 a.m. and had its epicenter at 6.68°N, 126.12°E – 006 km N 62° E of the municipality of Governor Generoso.
The quake had a depth of 33 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
It was felt at the following intensities:
- Intensity IV – Governor Generoso, Banaybanay, and Tarragona, Davao Oriental; Mati City; Maco, and Pantukan, Davao de Oro
- Intensity III – Santa Maria, Davao Occidental; Lupon, and San Isidro, Davao Oriental; Tagum City, Davao del Norte; Rosario, Agusan del Sur; Koronadal City; Davao City
- Intensity II – Kidapawan City; Makilala, and Magpet, Cotabato; Tupi, South Cotabato; Compostela, and Nabunturan, Davao de Oro
- Intensity I – General Santos City; Tantangan, South Cotabato
